Trump Says He Is Greater In New Jersey Than Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen, a New Jersey icon and rock and roll legend, already had a well-lasting nickname—The Boss. Therefore, Donald Trump refrained from calling Springsteen by any of his trademark derogatory nicknames—Lyin' Ted, Little Marco, etc.—while he played a rhetorical game of "mine is bigger" with the pride of the Garden State.

At a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, a vacation destination along the Jersey shore around 100 miles south of Springsteen's hometown of Asbury Park, the politician took aim at the musician. In addition to claiming that his audiences are larger than those that Springsteen attracts, Trump bizarrely claimed that all of these "liberal singers," or "wackos," support him rather than the Democrats.

"You know, the actual vote for me," declared Trump. "Everyone votes for me," "Bruce Springsteen, we have a much bigger crowd than Bruce Springsteen," Trump remarked, bringing up the musician. Correct? Much larger.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden are two Democratic contenders whom Springsteen has previously backed.

At the White House in 2023, President Biden presented Springsteen with an Arts and Humanities Medal. He said, "Bruce Springsteen is a poet and troubadour who chronicles American life and resilience and hope and dreams. He has received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in addition to 20 Grammys, an Oscar, a Tony, and an unwavering love from millions of fans across generations."
