Iran orders the US to "move aside" as it gets ready to strike Israel

Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States regarding its involvement in the aftermath of a suspected Israeli airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria. In a statement posted on X, the Iranian president's deputy chief of staff for political affairs advised the US to "step aside to avoid consequences" and cautioned against falling into Prime Minister Netanyahu's "trap."

Jamshidi revealed that the US urged Iran not to target American facilities in response. At a funeral for the seven officers killed in the airstrike, Iran vowed to retaliate against Israel, with state television airing demonstrations featuring banners reading "Death to Israel" and "Death to America."

The US is reportedly on high alert, preparing for potential attacks on Israeli or American assets in the region. A senior Biden administration official expressed full support for Israel's defense against Iran's threats.

The airstrike, which claimed the lives of seven Iranian officers, including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, marked a significant escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran. Pro-Palestinian protests around the world, coinciding with Quds (Jerusalem) Day, heightened concerns, leading Israel to close 28 embassies as a precaution.

The conflict between Iran and Israel has intensified amid Israel's military actions in Gaza, resulting in civilian casualties. The "Axis of Resistance," comprising Iran and its allies like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthi militants in Yemen, has been carrying out attacks in solidarity with Palestinians, further exacerbating the situation
